From then until now..
The business was established as a sole proprietorship under the name of "Rademacher" in Rhede in 1967 and was initially run in rented premises. The purpose of the business was - as it still is today - the production and distribution of electronic systems and equipment.
During the early years, the emphasis was on the production of pcbs, the quality of which was given a positive rating among independent experts in trade magazines at the time. Economic development was rapid with the result that the first property was purchased at Buschkamp 7, Rhede, in 1979. A production, storage and administration building was erected on this property. In particular, roller shutter drives with corresponding accessories, weighing equipment and pcbs became main sales performers. Sub-contract work was also carried out for the radio and television industry among others.
The company's machinery was upgraded, its own etching and bonding plant installed and automation was largely introduced. In the years 1982 to 1987, the company purchased neighbouring properties and extended its total area to around 20,000 sq.m. Works, despatch shops, exhibition and administration premises were built in line with the consistent growth of the business. Sunlight and twilight modules, remote controls and time switches were included in the product range and the fleet of machinery was enlarged and updated considerably.
Further properties were purchased in 1993, production workshops were erected and connected with the existing property by the company's own bridge. The company developed new tubular motors and garage door drives. At the same time, the production of small motors was introduced at the Dresden division. These are mainly used for own products. Business premises were purchased and developed accordingly to enable this branch works to be set up. In the security systems sector, a special electronics system was developed for protective fences required for high security properties.
The development of new and improvement of existing products represents the daily work of our highly competent R&D department. Currently around 160 people work at the two plants and the central administration in Rhede and at the branch works in Dresden.
